Michael Thomason

Nickname: AussieMike (0 stories)
Michael Thomason from Perth, currently in Washington, DC

I'm a teacher in the US having left W.A. & sunny Qld in 1997.
Since coming here I've met lots of Aussies here in DC both at the Aus Embassy and other events. My wife (an Aussie by choice, and American by birth)and I were married on Anzac Day in Santa Barbara, California, so we get to celebrate in style every year!
We are both lovers of Dixieland Jazz and I have a radio programme on which features only Australian performers. Listen in at (forward-slash broadcast/ and search for michael_aussie.
You'll hear bands such as Creole Bells from Melbourne, John Gill from Perth, and CornerhouseJazz Band also from Perth, as well as Rob's Rascals from Adelaide.
