Anyone at any time. However, you can filter messages from anonymous senders and accept messages from registered users only. Our aim is to give anyone anywhere the opportunity of asking our members about the experiences they have recorded on Being Australian. So, we encourage people to be respectful and courteous in their communications with each other. See our Conditions of Use for more information about users' conduct.
Your email address cannot be seen by other users of the website unless you choose to publish it in the publicly viewable part of your profile or in a submitted story we approve for publication. Messages you receive from Being Australian are either from the Editors or from the site server computer responsible for handling the 'My Messages' portion of the site, in which case, the senders of messages you receive cannot see your email address.
No, there is no way to tell who has viewed your profile -- unless, of course, they send you a message directly (they need to be registered and logged in first). Messages you receive will indicate the page the sender was looking at when they clicked 'Send Message'.
