I'm a landscape architect. I run a Melbourne company called Outdoor Creations. We transform boring domestic front and back gardens into veritable oases. (We do a whole heap of of other cool landscape stuff too, but saving homeowners from themselves is one of our specialities!)
 
One of the things I notice most about gardens in Australia is how people are finally moving toward native plants in their gardens. The days of ridiculous English tea gardens in the harsh Australian climate are numbered. Thank heavens. Nothing more silly than rhodadendrens blooming in the company of eucalypts.
