House on stone block

an experience of city and town

There's this pretty unusual house sitting on top of a chunk of sandstone at the corner of Liverpool and Bourke streets in Darlinghurst, Sydney. It seems to be the only house on the street that kept the original rock underneath while other properties chiseled it out to make garages.
