Street Junk
an experience of everyday life
Every three months local councils do local pickups of your rubbish that won't fit in a wheelie bin. Sometimes, people just can't wait for the scheduled pick up day. That's what evidently happened here when someone just HAD to get rid of their stuff illegally. Pretty brazen. Pretty sad too, really. What a mess. It's not all bad though -- frequently you'll see shadowy figures lurking about looking for 'treasure' among the trash. Recycling, you might say. Great! I suppose being Australian these days is getting pinched for a fine by the council for illegally dumping stuff on the street at times when the pick is not scheduled.
