Submissions are first checked by our hard-working editors before being published to make sure those submissions are family-friendly. Approval does not usually take very long. Usually the same day - and you can check on the current status of all your submissions at any time.

No! As a contributor to Being Australian you have complete control over how you receive communications. Adjust settings to suit on your Portrait page. Also, Being Australian will not sell or provide contributors' details to third parties. See Privacy Policy for full details.
