Alexandra Victoria

an experience of aussie icons

Alexandra, which is located 130 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, is a small country town i came across on my travels. There is a little Hotel there called Alexandra Hotel, where the beer is cold and the food is still cooked on a wood fire. The hotel is owned and ran by the McNair's and has been in the family for three generations .. A real Aussie icon , well worth the look. About 26 kilometres to the east of Alexandra, Eildon is the largest, man-made lake in Victoria.
